So I have not been active at all the past few days (I’m going to be real honest here and say that by ‘days’, I mean ‘weeks’) but with the deadline quickly approaching, I think you can imagine why. Today, three days behind schedule, I finished my essay. Of course I am far away from done, but it has to be finished by now. I sure could’ve used another week though. Maybe two. Or five, really.
Although, I must say, with all that has happened, I’m proud of what I was able to pull off. My idiotic, I mean, slightly unhelpful teacher who gave me a double load of work compared to all the other Nimbin-students (there will be another blogpost explaining this oh so funny story), my little mistake that cost me three weeks worth of research and that other small issue. Can’t remember what that last one was, something to do with a global pandemic? I can’t recall.
Although I’m upset about missing out on so many experiences that would’ve been amazing, I’m still very glad that I got to do Nimbin this year. If it wasn’t for Monique and Jos, I really don’t know what I would’ve done these past few months. My expectations for Nimbin were unrealistically high and still I was surprised by just how great all of this was. I learned so much more than I thought I would and I’ll take those things with me for the rest of my years here at Fontys (and beyond).
