Jos asked me what it is I’m spending most of my time on these days and I figured that the best way to put it is trying not to go insane. So, that’s where the idea first started to write about how to keep up your mental health during this pandemic. Although I was very intrigued by this concept at first, I quickly found out that about a dozen other journalists (if not more) had started to work on this question just before I did. So much for originality.
I figured I could still do what I planned if I stick to the philosophical side of the story. With Nietzsche in the back of my head, the man who forced himself into isolation in the mountains because he believed loneliness would help him be more creative, I figured that there’s still a lot I could still research about the subject that hasn’t already been told.
